That is quite some time wasted, maybe flying cars will be a solution!
A cockroach can live for 10 days without a head.
That is just creepy, makes you wonder if he ever needed that head in the first place, do they have brains?

A snail can sleep for 3 years
And people tell me that I am lazy! 3 years is insane, that is like.. 3 years? You can do so much in that time, you could wait for traffic lights, for 78 lives!
Mel Blanc (voice of Bugs Bunny) was allergic to carrots.
I am sure you noticed it, the main character wants to kiss his dream girl after a long time of trying to show his love for her, she wants to kiss him back and then suddenly out of fucking nowhere KABOOM, or the bad guys storm the place.

I have seen this happening just too many times, whenever something important is about to happen between two characters they always get interrupted by something big. This way the main character is stuck with whatever he wanted to tell the other character and have to wait until the end of the movie or TV season. Why does this always happen, we want our main character to happy right, not that bullshit of him getting interrupted while he already did a lot of superhero stuff before.botjihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05809801426408932602noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6276702243036274865.post-51956563048491189462011-05-16T05:14:00.000-07:002011-05-16T05:14:38.524-07:00Eye colour, do you notice?

Do you ever notice someone's eye colour?

After some research I found out that a lot of people don't actually pay attention to someone's eye colour unless it is a pretty unique colour or a very bright one. We say we can recognize a person by his eyes but do you remember all the colours of your family or friends?

Lets start simple, what colours do your parents have? You probably know this, good job. Now what colour is the eye of your cousins or that guy you are next to at work/school. Chances are you don't really know for sure even though eyes are a big part of how someone looks!

Try to think of a celebrity you know pretty well and guess their eye colour, then look it up on Google, you might be surprised you got it wrong or even right, but knowing for 100% is very unlikely.

So do you notice eye colours and remember them of every somewhat important person in your life?botjihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05809801426408932602noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6276702243036274865.post-53384439013932834642011-05-13T09:38:00.000-07:002011-05-14T04:57:30.978-07:00Friday fun facts #1

It is Friday Fun Facts!
Is there a synonym for synonym?
Not that I can think about, maybe you can?

"Never say never"
That sentence is so full of crap, it contains 66% the word never, even though it states never to use it.

Only one person out of every two billion will become 116 years old or older.
Lets just hope medical treatment / technology improves in the future so this fact will be outdated very soon and 116 is considered young!

The average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night.
This one always freaks me out, I hate spiders and the last thing I want to do is eat them. I can't even imagine how it would feel to eat one and swallow it, arrgh.

Why is it always like this, the bad guy tells our hero that a bomb is at a certain location and adds that no one can know this else the bomb will explode. So our hero rushes towards the location of the bomb and there you have it, a big ass red timer on the bomb. Why is that timer always there? Have you ever seen that timer in any other colour than red? Never seen one in blue or yellow, maybe green.

Then the next cliché kicks in, what wire do you cut? Red, no that is considered a bad colour so lets cut green, or maybe I should go for blue. Since our hero is thinking too long his sidekick(s) will enter the complain phase and tell him/her the bomb is about to explode. Then out of the blue our hero remembers something from his childhood or something explained earlier in the movie/episode, and he cuts the correct wire. Never will the time remaining for detonation be longer than 20 seconds.

So what do you think is a TV cliché that always comes back in one form or another, let me know!botjihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05809801426408932602noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6276702243036274865.post-9568595849445566342011-05-11T06:15:00.000-07:002011-05-11T10:20:04.986-07:00The end of humanity

Will humanity survive forever, or will we vanish in the battle of time? Most likely the last part since 99% of the species ever lived on Earth are gone. So what possible dangers are ahead of us? Here is a list of how we might die.

1. Death by natural occurrence on Earth
A big tsunami or a hurricane might kill a lot of people but won't end us all, however a super volcano can change the climate on Earth after erupting, making it really hard to live. The Yellowstone volcano is such a super volcano and it said to have a cycle of erupting, according to this cycle it could erupt any moment now! Time to stock up some food!

2. Death by technology
We have to stop Skynet! Ok, maybe a terminator scenario where machines and humans travel back in time isn't that likely, but technology could end us all. As much cliché a madscientist is, there is always a chance that an experiment goes wrong and brings danger to the planet, this might sound a bit weird for now but what could they be researching in the year 5000? Could be some nasty stuff!

3. Death by Universal occurence
Maybe we do everything right but still end up dieing to a cause from outer space. A big asteroid crashing into Earth changing the climate again, maybe a solar flare from our sun that screws up the magnetic field of our planet, making sunshine a killer. In a couple of billion years the sun will be close to burning through all its fuel and increases in size, meaning the end of life on Earth. Then there is always the evil black hole, getting sucked into it will be quite impossible to survive, atleast for now!

4. Death by ourselves
Most people will tell you this will be the most likely scenario. Killing is in our nature and has been praised by humanity for many years, in the Roman empire it was called entertainment. With better technology and even bigger nuclear bombs will a full scale nuclear war mean the end of the planet? Well maybe not the planet but sure for humanity. In a full out nuclear war the chance of survival is very very small.

5. Death by Aliens
Aliens, do they exist? 10,000,000,000,000,000 planets in the universe. If only 1 out of every million would support life than we end up with 10,000,000,000 planets. And these numbers are only for the visible universe, there might be even more! Saying we are the only life form on the 10,000,000,000 planets that support life will be very narrowminded and arrogant. So in the case other intelligence lifeforms exist, will they find us and kill us? Will they care about us? Are we like ants to them? Or are they highly fascinated by the fact they found an other life form, and start experimenting on us, or even forge an alliance? No one will know until we finally meet them, and one thing is for sure, communicating with them will be one hell of a job!botjihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05809801426408932602noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6276702243036274865.post-9911506517982494222011-05-10T02:58:00.000-07:002011-05-10T02:58:04.354-07:00Time travel is possible!

Time travel is possible. Time travel has been one of the more frequent movie concepts the last years, changing the idea what time travel actually is. People get hyped when they hear the word and now think we have some sort of time machine because of this articles title and the fancy picture.

Well, we do not have a time machine that could make us go to any time we want, I am sorry to disappoint you. What were you thinking anyway, it isn't even possible to travel back in time only forward at different speeds. One of these speeds we do every day on planet Earth, we are traveling in time constantly, constantly going forward. It is not my fault you have this mainstream idea whenever you hear time travel you think of a car that leaves two burning lines of fire on the ground and travels through time and sends us to the past!

So you can't go back in time you said? Yes that was me, I said that. Let me explain, we go forward in time all day long, we even changed the pace on how fast we go forward in time ( more on that later ) but backwards just isn't possible. Lets say you are eating an apple, in this example the apple is time, you can eat your apple really quick or slowly but the apple becomes smaller and smaller whenever you take a bite out of it. You can't make the apple bigger by eating it, same goes with time, you can't go back to a former state ( for the sake of argument you are NOT about to vomit! )

Lol Logic : If I have a solid object that is 5 light years long and I move it forward did my message travel faster than the speedlimit called the speed of light?

Are we able to manipulate how fast we travel forward then? Yes we can, yes we did it before, yes we are doing it right now. There are a number of possibilities to change the pace you travel at. If you are close to the speed of light you will travel faster through time than your surroundings, you could say you travel into the future at a more rapid pace than others. If you want to travel slower you could always stay close to an object with extreme mass, a black hole ( actually I wouldn't quite recommend this! ), or something closer to home, Earth.

Did you know the satellites in space go faster through time by 38 microseconds every day? They are not as close to a big mass like Earth than people on it.botjihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05809801426408932602noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6276702243036274865.post-54438568577069323152011-05-09T06:11:00.000-07:002011-05-09T06:11:56.554-07:00Active thinking is overated

Using your brain from time to time would be a good idea, but actively using it can cause a lot of frustration.

You are now breathing manually.

When making hard decisions we tend to take quite some time, maybe sleep a night to think about what we decide. But overthinking is never good, and it has been proven that the best decisions are made without thinking too much about it, around 1 minute is the best.

You are now blinking manually.

Our body constantly renews itself, including the brains. You have a completely different skin as 1 month ago, and a completely different skeleton as 15 years ago. It is the body's power to regenerate itself and get rid of the old cells. Same goes with your brains, the oldest part of our body is in the brains, memories. Try to think of your oldest memory and stop your body from falling apart!

Your chin is pretty heavy, don't let it fall down!

Some things in life we have to learn, like a language or math. Other things comes so naturally we perform them perfectly without actively thinking about them, like breathing and blinking our eyes. It is because different parts of your brain take care for these tasks. Some people have the skill to perform a task as naturally as breathing or blinking your eyes ( usually one specific thing, mostly people with autism. ), it comes so naturally to them that they just do it no matter how hard it looks to someone else. For example there was this autistic boy who had the ability to draw an entire city from above in perfect detail after flying over it in a helicopter just once. That is pretty amazing isn't it?

So how do you define a colour? You can't. If someone asks you how red looks you can not even answer that question, only refer to objects that are red, go try it. The other thing that interests me is that we have no solid proof how others perceive colours compared to us, simply because we can't define them. Is my blue the same as your blue? Do you perceive my blue as I would perceive red, or green, or yellow? Again we can not proof how someone perceives a colour, we can only name it.

Did you ever try to come up with a new colour? How would that colour look? On other subjects I can make up anything new but with colours I can't. Or how would life be without a certain colour, just look around and think one colour isn't there, kinda weird right?

Did you know that a male is 19 times as likely to be colourblind than a female?
Mario is THE Nintendo icon, and a lot of people played one of their first console game as Mario. Lets dig a little further in the history of Mario and the world he lives in. Most of you know Mario as that heroic little man trying to save a princess every 2 years or so, ( I wonder if he got laid already ) but there was a time Mario wasn't as fat as today, infact he was so thin you couldn't even see him if you would stand right in front of him, but that is probably because he found himself in a 2D world. Anyway, Mario's secret lies in this 2D world, be prepared, what you are going to see can not be unseen, continue watching on your own risk!
The blobfish lives in the depths of the ocean, rarely seen by man because of the pressure of <strike>good looking</strike> the sea water. This pudding fish, yes pudding, doesn't really have muscles but instead uses his body weight to move through the water. His mass has a slightly less density than water, making it possible to swim without using a lot of energy.

Next time you come across the blobfish ask him to pose in profile, it sure looks way better!
